Sulu Release 2.2.15 & 2.3.5

After a productive month for the Sulu team and community, we are happy to present the new Sulu patch releases 2.2.15 and 2.3.5.

Numerous bugfixes and enhancement

The new patch releases contain numerous bugfixes and improvements in various areas. Have a look at the release on GitHub to find a list of all changes included in the release!

One of the changes significantly improves the performance of the media section when a projects contains a lot of medias. This change requires an update to the database schema - have a look at UPGRADE.md file for more details.

As always, we recommend to have a look at our Upgrading Sulu 2.x documentation when upgrading your project. The documentation provides a step-by-step guide to upgrading Sulu in your projects. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or problems during the upgrade process.

Community contributions

Sulu is an open source project - this means that its code is not only improved by the core developers, but also external contributors like partners and independent community members. For this release, we want to thank mgwestwerk for improving the search functionality of Sulu by the indexing the content of nested blocks. We highly appreciate any contributions and are happy to help you getting started if you are interested in working with us!

At this point, we would also like to thank our community members that have added translations for Sulu and the official bundles on CrowdIn. We are proud to say that our community added translations for more than 10 additional languages, including dutch, french, russian and spanish. Please feel free to reach out to us if you are interested in adding translations for a language that is not available on CrowdIn yet - we are happy to add the language for you.

What is coming next?

After finishing the universal link content type feature, we are eagerly working on the new trash functionality for Sulu 2.4 . In addition to the Sulu 2.4 release, we are also working on the next major release for the SuluArticleBundle. The new major version builds on top of the SuluContentBundle and will no longer require an Elasticsearch server. This will make the bundle more flexible and easier to setup even for small projects.

Your feedback is important!
