We are happy to announce sulu/skeleton as new project template for your Sulu 2.0 projects. This means the new sulu/skeleton repository replaces and improves the sulu/sulu-minimal repository, which was the preferred way of starting Sulu 1.6 projects.
The name of the new project template repository is inspired by the official symfony/skeleton repository. We are hopeful that this change will finally resolve regularly occurring confusings regarding to the differences between the long deprecated sulu/sulu-standard repository and the now old sulu/sulu-minimal repository.
Future of the sulu/sulu-minimal and sulu/sulu-standard repositories
The old sulu/sulu-minimal repository will still be maintained for the 1.6.x version of Sulu. We do not recommend to start new Sulu 2.0 projects based on sulu-minimal.
The sulu/sulu-standard repository was deprecated with the release of Sulu 1.3. It will be marked as abandoned and will be no longer be maintained. We do not recommend to start any Sulu projects based on sulu-standard.
These changes should not affect existing projects based on either of the two project templates. Existing projects will still get bugfixes when updating your sulu/sulu dependency via composer.
