Sulu Releases 2.5.30 / 2.6.14 and 3.0.0-beta 3
We're making steady progress toward the first release candidate for Sulu 3.0. Today we're delivering another beta release alongside important patch updates for 2.5 and 2.6.
Sulu 3.0.0 Beta 3 released
The admin search index now covers snippets and collections, with articles and pages integration arriving in the upcoming releases.
We've also introduced a valuable enhancement for block handling: every block now includes a unique identifier accessible via ._id. This provides a reliable way to reference and track blocks within your content and lays the groundwork for planned improvements.
Additionally, we've restored both external and internal link capabilities for pages, addressing a gap from earlier beta versions. Read the full changelog for complete details.
Doctrine ORM regression fix for 2.5 and 2.6
A regression in doctrine/orm:2.20.7 caused failures when contact and account controllers encountered empty media lists. We've resolved this issue in the latest 2.5.30 and 2.6.14 releases. If you encounter related problems, report any issues on GitHub.
What's next
Our current focus centers on finalising CustomURL routing and streamlining the data migration process through the SuluPHPCRMigrationBundle. We're committed to making the transition to 3.0 as smooth as possible for existing projects.
Following that, we'll be reintroducing the website search index and webspace security features , two essential components of the Sulu ecosystem.
How to upgrade
For those testing the beta releases, we've prepared detailed upgrade instructions in our GitHub repository to guide you through the process.
