Sulu 2.6.21, 3.0.4, and bundle 3.0 RC releases

Another round of releases is here, bringing a substantial set of improvements and fixes across Sulu 2.6.21 and Sulu 3.0.4. Alongside these, we've published release candidates for several Sulu bundles, including Form, Automation, Headless, Theme, and Redirect.

Sulu 3.0.4 released

The list of changes in version 3.0.4 is extensive—you can view the full details here. This release includes 47 merged pull requests, addressing several reported issues and delivering significant performance improvements, especially in the new link providers. We've also enhanced the search index to include more data, such as excerpts.

Special thanks to our contributors, including dfsoeten, matthiasseghers from our partner icapps, and all-star contributor mamazu. And to everyone who reported issues: your feedback helps make Sulu more stable and reliable with every release.

Sulu 2.6.21 released

The 2.6 branch also received a new release with a handful of fixes, including the removal of HTML tags from the search index and improved thumbnail generation with newer ghostscript versions. On the improvements side, sulu_snippet_load_by_area now allows fetching excerpt data under 2.x as well.

Thanks to contributors like MarkusHolstein, Olivier127, and mamazu.

Sulu bundle release candidates

To make the Sulu ecosystem fully compatible with Sulu 3.0, we've published release candidates for the following bundles. We kept backwards compatibility breaks as small as possible, but make sure to review the UPGRADE files for each bundle:

Install them by using the ^3.0@RC version constraint in your composer.json. Your feedback is very welcome.

What's next?

The team is actively working through remaining 3.0 regressions. In parallel, we're migrating core bundles to Sulu 3.0 to ensure the broader ecosystem keeps pace with the new architecture.

Your feedback shapes these releases. Report bugs or request features on GitHub, connect with us on Slack, or reach out through our website. We're listening.
